SESTRIERE
Milky Way ski circuit site of 2006 Winter Olympics 18th - 25th January 2009GP Education Course
Sestriere is superbly located in the heart of the Milky Way ski circuit, with 400 kms of pistes and a huge variety of skiing for all levels including the slalom run used in the 2006 Winter Olympics. This is the highest resort with the best snow record in the region.
We have chosen as our base the wonderful Grand Hotel Principi di Piemonte which was built in 1932 and completely renovated in 2005. The hotel is very modern and boasts a beautiful indoor pool, sauna & solarium, as well as a fitness room, jacuzzi & massage treatments. The hotel is virtually ski in ski out and a short walk from the village centre. Wireless internet is available in public areas and in the hotel's rooms.
Following our usual format on ski conferences, we ski all day and hold lectures between 5.30 and 8.00 p.m. daily before relaxing into some great Italian cuisine and an evening at the bar. We aim to offer an exceptional academic programme covering a variety of topics over the 15 hours during the week.
Private instructors and guides will be available to accompany those who wish each morning for 3 hours at an additional cost. The perfect way to either improve your level of skiing or get the most out of the ski circuit. Allow yourself to be guided by the local experts who know every inch of this extensive area which is linked to Sauze d’Oulx, Montgenèvre and other small resorts. Please indicate on the booking form if you would like to register in one of these groups.
